SBITS - Motul RBF600 High Performance Brake Fluid
Product Description
WHY UPGRADE TO A HIGH PERFORMANCE BRAKE FLUID?
When was your brake fluid last changed? Just like your pads and discs brake fluid is a consumable and must be replaced regularly. And more often if used under high temperature conditions like those generated at track-days.
Brake fade is a condition all drivers read about. All too often pads are accused as being the likely cause when in reality it is the fluid boiling.
Many owners will have already fitted uprated brake pads which by their nature are designed to work at higher temperatures. When this heat is transmitted through the pad to the fluid, any weakness in the fluid can cause it to boil.
The solution is to change to a brake fluid with a higher boiling point.
Motul RBF 600 FACTORY LINE is a 100% synthetic, polyglycol-based brake fluid exclusively designed for high performance applications.
Developed to resist high temperatures, RBF 600 has a high dry boiling point of 312°C and a wet boiling point of 216°C. This ensures effective braking under extreme racing conditions. Couple this with its outstanding anti-vapor lock performance, RBF 600 has become a well-trusted brake fluid amongst race and rally teams world-wide.
PERFORMANCE COMPARISON AGAINST DOT 5.1 BRAKE FLUIDS
DOT 5.1 example:
Dry boiling point of 275C/527F
Wet boiling point of 184C/363F
Motul RBF600 Factory Line:
Dry boiling point of 312C/593F
Wet boiling point of 216C/420F
NOTE
RBF600 is compatible with all types of hydraulic actuated brakes and clutch systems. However it should not be mixed with silicon-based or mineral-based brake fluids. To upgrade to RBF600 or any other synthetic brake fluid simply drain your exisiting system before filling and bleeding with your new fluid.
Supplied in 0.5 litre containers - 1 is sufficient for a complete fluid change.
